Sweet Vale of Avoca Museum

The Sweet Vale of Avoca Museum

is back to the regular "summer schedule"

being open Saturdays and Sundays

from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The 1938 Fire Truck is still on display outside the Museum.

Drop by to see some of Avoca's amazing history.

We also have some 150th memorabilia on display

and the contents of the 1969 Time Capsule.

Free-will donations are always accepted.

With RAGBRAI coming thru Avoca on Sunday, July 21st, the Museum will not be open. However the 1938 Fire Truck will still be on exhibit outside the Museum that day for visitors' enjoyment!

Programs to Look Forward to . . .

AUGUST 18, 2019:  We plan to do a program on the 1969 Time Capsule and its contents before it gets re-buried.  Be watching for details.

SEPTEMBER 15, 2019:  You won't want to miss this one.  We are having a one-afternoon showing of some of the many wood carvings done by Bill True Sr in his lifetime.

OCTOBER 20, 2019:

NOVEMBER 17, 2019:  Gary Collins has offered to bring some of his World War II military collectibles for a program and viewing.  What a great way to honor our military veterans during November.
